Garden Design –

For a Garden design we would start with a consultation at your home. This meeting would be attended by Lorraine (Garden Designer) and Phil (Landscaper). The meeting would last anything upto1 hour and you would have the chance to preview our portfolio, go through ideas and ask any questions necessary. We like to make this meeting as informal as possible.

It is a good idea at this early stage to have an idea of the amount you wish to spend. We can show you examples of work undertaken with an indication of budget spent. We can also help you understand the areas that drive up costs to help you come to a suitable budget for the project in mind.

We complete a full site survey including soil samples to assess suitability of plants. Planting areas will be indicated on design although actual plant names will not be listed. A separate planting plan is available on request.

After listening to your ideas we will complete a scaled drawing. This will take up to 10 working days but an indication of timescales will be discussed at time of consultation.

We then normally arrange for a second consultation to present the garden design. We like to do this in person as it gives the client, and ourselves the opportunity to ‘tweak’ the design if necessary.

As part of the consultation process we would follow up with a written estimate for Lorraine Anne Phillips to complete the build process. We would also indicate a proposed schedule for your garden project.

Our charges for this service are based on the size of your garden:

50% payable at time of initial consultation.

Remaining 50% payable at second consultation.

Small changes to design free of charge. Any changes requiring alterations to drawings are charged at £40 an hour. Amount of hours needed for alterations are agreed in advance.

Planting Plan –

Planting plans can be prepared for clients as well as an overall garden design or they can be produced for clients that simply require this one off service from us.

It might be that your garden has recently been hard landscaped and you now need someone to sort the borders out, or it might be that the borders have become overgrown and now need a total revamp. Whatever your requirements we will work with you to develop a planting plan that suits you and your garden.

A site survey and informal consultation will be needed and will take anything upto1 hour. A soil sample will be taken to assess the suitability of plants. We will listen to your requirements and it goes without saying that if you want a garden ablaze with colour then this is what we will achieve.
